As Illinois transitioned into phase 4 of the restore Illinois plan swimming pool operators were provided with some updated information on what can be done with their pools. We're very excited for this next phase, but we please ask all residents to keep in mind that this is all very new to us and rules/regulations could change without notice. We will, of course, post any updated rules/regulations at each affected area as issues arise.
Updated Regulations:
In Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan operators are permitted to operate at 50% capacity. Operators should make employee and customer temperature checks required upon entry to the facility, and at mid-shift screen employees to ensure the absence of COVID-19 symptoms. For the pub and kiddie pools that will be 50 people total. Pub pool will transition to this new format on Wednesday 7/1/2020 with Kiddie Pool opening as soon as we are able to (we anticipate before the weekend of the 4th), so please keep an eye on this post, and our social media feeds (facebook: @fourlakesrec | Instagram: @fourlakesrecreation). While in phase 4 operators, employees and customers should wear face coverings when not engaged in swimming activities. All patrons will be required to wear a mask while entering the pool area and checking in. Once you take your seat you may take your mask off before entering the pool. Masks will be available for purchase at the pools for $1.00 each.
Additional Regulations:
Four Lakes will be enacting the below regulations as well as the stated regulations by IDPH:
No Floats, rafts, etc. Except for kick boards during reserved lap swim times (see below for update on lap swim)
No guests - At this time we cannot allow guests to attend the pool since we will only have two pools available and have to keep our capacity at 50%.
All guests must wear a mask during check in and while in the common use areas of the pool building. Masks are available for sale at each pool
All employees and guests will be required to have their temperature taken upon entering the pool area. Employees will also be required to have their temperature checked at mid-shift.
Groups who are not family units should maintain at least 6FT of distance when in the water.
Pool furniture must not be moved, re-arranged or modified
Updated pool hours and activities:
Updated pool hours and activities are below: (Please note at this time we will not be enforcing a reservation based system on open swim but we do ask that residents be cognizant of their neighbors and not loiter for too long)
Pub Pool: These hours are effective 7 days per week, weather permitting.
8a-10a - reserved lap swim only
10a-11a - closed for cleaning
11a-8p - open swim - 50% capacity (50 people)
Kiddie Pool: These hours are effective 7 days per week, weather permitting.
11a-8p - open swim - 50% capacity (50 people)
Boathouse: These hours are effective 7 days per week, weather permitting.
11a-8p - reserved boating only.
Our commitment to you:
Four Lakes will continue to provide each resident with superb sanitization of all common areas.
We will ensure that all common touch areas are cleaned and sanitized at least one time per hour.
Bathrooms and showers will be cleaned between uses.
All staff will be checked before their shift and mid-way through their shift for COVID-19 related symptoms.
All staff are encouraged to stay home with no penalty if they are not feeling well.
All patrons entering the facility will be able to have their area sanitized again upon request.
We're very excited to move into this next phase with the pools, and we will continue to monitor updates from the state and health departments and make updates/changes as needed. We ask that if you have questions or see anything to please call us with those concerns so they can be addressed right away. This is new for all of us, but we will get through it together.
Much love, and much excitement,
~Four Lakes Recreation Management team
Where is located kiddie pool?
Anna it’s the pool under the Rec office.
Thank you!
Any chance of the condo pool opening too? Have you considered keeping the pool open longer than Labor Day? Weather and Covid-19 permitting.
This is all a very fluid situation. We are evaluating and making decisions based on need, and timing. We don't have anything official for Condo or Towers today, but that could change quickly. Just keep an eye out on the webpage and official facebook page for updates.
Do we still have to set appointments for id?
For IDs and boats we do still require reservations.
Hi, I’m trying to book an appointment to get an ID and no matter what date I pick it’s not showing any time slots or any way to make the appointment. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong
You can only book appointments for the current day and the next day. So if you’re trying to make something for later this week or weekend that could be why.

Even trying to do same day or tomorrow same thing
That sure is strange. I just checked on my end and I’m showing available appointments all day. Perhaps there is an issue in between us and you. No worries though, just head on over to the boathouse and we can accommodate your appointment as a walk up. Sorry for the confusion on all of this.
No problem thanks Chris!
Hello,
I am trying to book a reservation for the pool and it only shows availability for 8 and 9 am. Are all spots taken for both Tuesday and Wednesday? Thanks
Will we be allowed to bring a guest at any point or is it just going to be residents for this year?

Sam, we just don’t know at this time. Once we know, we’ll make a post!
Thanks!
If I don’t have my resident ID yet but have my letter from my association and have my driver license can I show That for the pool?? I wanted to come tonight either my son
Kelly, it sounds like you have all of the paperwork needed to get the ID. You can get the ID on your way to the pool if that helps, but you need the ID to get in. You can get yours made from 11a-8p 7 days a week at the ski hill cafeteria.
